For trustee, agency and escrow teams

Find the people you need to talk to, and how to reach them.

Name the law firms, funds and arrangers that appoint you. In about two minutes, Mandate reads their websites and gives you the partners and heads of desk most likely to decide, how to reach each one and what to ask them, with every name linked to the page it came from.

Measured, then checked by hand

Six real firm websites, run through Mandate.

  • 141 people named across six firm websites, 87% with their job title.
  • 100% linked to the page they came from, so you can check any of them.
  • 52% with an address found on the firm's own pages.
  • 0 guesses shown as fact. The other 67 addresses each say they are a guess.

Benchmark: saved copies of six real UK and Nordic firm websites, five law firms and a trustee, run through Mandate on 28 September 2026 with a longer time limit than a live run uses, and checked by hand. Four entries that were not people and one duplicate are left out of the counts. A live run reads each firm for about 20 seconds, so a slow site is read less deeply. Your free live run shows these numbers for your own firms.

The hard part

You know the firms. The hard part is the people.

One person on their firm's own website, and what Mandate makes of them. Then one where it has to guess.

  1. 01

It reads the firm's own pages

Team pages, profiles, practice pages and news, public pages only. Everyone it finds keeps the page they were found on, and the day the firm was read.

  2. 02

    Who decides?

A team page lists hundreds of names, and only a handful choose the trustee, agent or escrow provider. Mandate marks how likely each person is to decide, and says why they matter to what you sell.

  3. 03

    How do you reach them?

The address the firm itself publishes, with the page the person was found on, so you can check it before you call.

  4. 04

When it has to guess, it says so

No address on the page? Mandate builds one from the firm's own format where it has seen one, or a common format where it has not, labels it a guess, and asks you to confirm it before an email draft opens.

  5. 05

    What do you say?

A first question to open with, for what you sell, so the call starts with their work, not your pitch.

What you walk away with

Twenty minutes later, you know who to call.

Every run ends in the same place: the people worth calling at your firms, and everything you need to call them.

  1. After two minutes

    Your market, read

The people named on your firms' pages, marked by how likely they are to decide and whether their practice fits what you sell, with the reason in plain words.

  2. After twenty minutes

    Your call list

The people worth a call, each with the route to reach them and the question to open with, in a brief you can hand your team today.

  3. Every week after

    Every conversation moving

Everyone you contact on one board with a next step and a date, and a follow-up queue that tells you who is due. Add firms whenever your market moves.

How it works

From a list of firms to your first call.

Four steps in one place, about twenty minutes from firm names to a call list. The same loop runs for five firms or fifty.

  1. 01

    Name your market

Paste the websites of the firms you want to be in front of, or start from a ready-made market such as UK finance law firms, private credit funds or debt advisers. Tell it once what you sell.

You give firm websitesTakes a minute

Mandate's Find screen with six firms added to a run
  2. 02

    Mandate finds the people

It reads each firm's own team pages, profiles, practice pages and news, and keeps only real, named people, each with the page they came from.

You get every named person, with their sourceTakes about 20 seconds a firm

A person profile in Mandate with the contact route, source and likelihood
  3. 03

See who decides, and how to reach them

Each person is marked high, medium or low likelihood to decide, read from their title and seniority, and whether their practice fits what you sell, with the reason. Then the address the firm publishes, or a guess marked as one, the page the person was found on and the question to open with.

You get the route and the question for eachReady when the run ends

A Mandate brief: the firm, what its own site says, and the people to call
  4. 04

Make the call, keep it moving

Tick the people worth a call and share a one-page brief. Move them onto your board, and the follow-up queue tells you who is next and when. Nothing is sent without you.

Our promises

Six things Mandate guarantees.

In a market this small, one email to the wrong person costs more than a week of research.

  • Every person links to the page they came from.If there is no page you can open and check, the person is not in your list. 141 out of 141 in the benchmark above.
  • Every address is labelled.Found on the firm's own pages, or a guess marked as one. Mandate asks you to confirm a guess before an email draft opens.
  • Public pages only.Team pages, profiles, practice pages and news. No LinkedIn, nothing behind a login, and Mandate buys no contact data.
  • Nothing is sent without you.No bulk sending and nothing automatic. Every message is one you chose to send.
  • Your data leaves with you.Export your people and briefs to CSV or PDF whenever you like. Ask, and your workspace is deleted; backups roll off within 30 days.
  • You pay nothing until it is useful. The live run and the 30-day trial are free, with no card. The founding price is fixed for two years, and you can stop any month.

These describe Mandate as it ships. If you connect your own Hunter account in Settings, the people it adds come from Hunter's database rather than a firm's page.

Questions

What people ask first.

Anything else, write to conor@mandates.cc.

How long does a run take?

About two minutes for five firms. Each firm gets a reading budget of about 20 seconds and firms are read one after another; most sites finish sooner, and a slow one can take a little longer. On a live run you watch it happen, and the brief is ready before the call ends.

How many people will it find?

It depends on how many people a firm names on the pages Mandate reads. In our benchmark of six real UK and Nordic firm websites, checked by hand, Mandate named 141 people: every one linked to the page they came from, 87% with their job title and 52% with an address found on the firm's own pages. Your live run shows the same numbers for your own firms.

Where does the information come from?

The firms' own public websites: team pages, individual profiles, practice pages and news. Mandate keeps the page and the date for every person. It does not scrape LinkedIn, log in anywhere or buy data. The one exception is optional: connect your own Hunter account in Settings and its results are added too.

How is this different from a contact database?

Databases sell volume and go stale, and most show a score rather than the page an address came from. Mandate reads the firms you choose when you ask, marks each person by how likely they are to decide and whether their practice fits what you sell, and shows its evidence for each one.

How reliable are the email addresses?

Each one is labelled. A published address was on the firm's own page. A guess is built from the firm's own format where Mandate has seen one, or a common format where it has not, and says which; Mandate asks you to confirm a guess before an email draft opens. No address is proof that a message will arrive.

Does it send emails for me?

No. It helps you choose who to contact and what to say, and can open a draft in your own mail. You send it yourself.

What do I need to start?

Five firms you want to be in front of and twenty minutes. No integration, no setup and no card.

Where is my data kept?

Pilot workspaces run on a single machine in London that I operate, behind Cloudflare, and move to a UK host before the first paid customer. The trust page sets out hosting, providers and what is not in place yet, in plain words.

Who is behind it

A note from Conor

I build software for regulated organisations. Before Mandate I built and sold a water and energy monitoring platform to UK water companies.

Mandate started as a tool for a friend who sells trustee and agency services. The databases on the market are built for volume. Her work is a small number of well-chosen calls. So Mandate does the opposite: it reads carefully, keeps its evidence, and tells you when it is guessing.

Give me twenty minutes and five firms, and I will run them with you, live. You will see what it finds as it finds it.
